Drive Sustainability. Influence Business. Create Impact.

Full-time (40 hours) | Zaandam, The Netherlands

Join the KRAHN Group and help shape a more sustainable future. Working closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer, you will drive strategic sustainability initiatives, lead cross-functional projects, and turn sustainability challenges into business opportunities.

What does a working day look like?

A typical day in this role is rarely one-dimensional. You might start the morning by aligning with colleagues across the group on new sustainability regulations, customer questions, or strategic priorities. Later, you could work with the LCA Specialist on a product assessment, or translate complex topics such as PPWR, EmpCo, circularity or carbon data into practical guidance for the business.

In the afternoon, the focus may shift from strategy to application: supporting a commercial team with a customer question, joining a supplier meeting, preparing a training or webinar, or identifying where sustainability services can create real value. The common thread throughout the day is connecting people, regulation, data and business opportunities — and turning sustainability from an abstract ambition into concrete action.

Why this role is exciting

  • Play a key role in shaping the sustainability agenda of an international, family-owned company.
  • Work closely with senior leadership and contribute directly to strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and industry partners across Europe.
  • Combine sustainability, innovation, and business development in a practical, business-focused role.
  • Enjoy the autonomy to take initiative, implement your ideas, and see their impact.
  • Help develop new sustainability services and create long-term value for customers and the business.

This is not a traditional sustainability role focused on reporting and administration. It is a highly visible and dynamic position where you will help shape strategy, influence decision-making, collaborate with customers and suppliers across Europe, and turn sustainability challenges into business opportunities.

  • Support and guide the in-house LCA Specialist while contributing to the company’s long-term sustainability strategy.

Your Profile

  • Passion for sustainability combined with a practical, business-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication, networking, and project management skills
